Did you cut the hardipanel yourself or can you find it in smaller than 4x8 sheets? I have been considering the same thing for an addition on my house.

yeah, i had to cut it out of the larger sheets. you can have it pre-cut, but since its a lot like laying a tile floor, you end up cutting a bunch anyway. its a pain in the butt to cut, and not easy to be precise. there was a learning curve that's pretty evident if you look too closely. all in all though, i'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
once the pieces are cut and pre-drilled, it goes up pretty easy. my panels are about 3x4, so they aren't terribly heavy. screws on 16" centers, and 1.5" away from the edge.
