and we're plumbed...

plumbing inspection passed. hooray! we're okay to cover the pipes in the floor and pour the slab. that means, another couple of days of hard labor, and the framing crew can start. finally we'll be moving up!
sam, the concrete guy came over last night and talked smack for a few minutes. he cut the foundation walls to repair what was one of many mistakes in the concrete. probably the ugliest and most visible of the mistakes so its good that its 'fixed'. he's going to form up the walls for the driveway, and we'll pay for the concrete. that'll save us some time.
i heard a rumor that wood prices came down a little. good thing. we're getting to that point, and it was gonna kill us. probably still will. at least we'll have something visible.

I'm excited to see how it turns out.

OSB and plywood markets have been in the toilet for a month or two. I believe fir is also trading at lower levels. Cedar fence is a killer right now though, you'll pay record highs. So, overall a good time to build.
